the New Facility

Presentation Theatre

A typical day in the life of the Presentation Theatre… Grade 4/5
students find out just how cold liquid nitrogen is as Chef Gaston whips
up a batch of his special ice cream to share with them…. the SuperNet
links Grade One students at Ecole Springfield School in Peace River
with Leonardo da Vinci so they can help him finish his masterpiece while
learning how to combine colours… that evening, a CKM class performs
their version of “Three Little Pigs” to family and friends. At midnight, a
Toronto-based business co-hosts a product launch via a webcast with its sister
company in China, in the theatre (followed by a reception in the Atrium).

MEGA DEMOS AND MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATIONS
These “larger-than-classroom” productions will meet the demand for curriculum-based workshops and presentations as 4 classes can participate at once. Current demos on electricity and magnetism, hot and cold, wheels and levers, and colour will be
expanded and enhanced to take advantage of this extraordinary new space.

SUPERNET PROGRAMMING
The SuperNET (an Alberta Government sponsored communication network for all communities) will allow our audience to interact live with other school children or audiences across the province.

RENTAL SPACE
The Presentation Theatre can be rented out for corporate events, musical concerts and
film screenings, and children’s theatre groups with little disruption to the in-house
show schedule.
