Creative Kids Museum

The Creative Kids Museum will provide innovative museum experiences that inspire joy, creativity and curiosity. Through a variety of interactive exhibits, enriched by programming, guests will experience traditional arts disciplines like visual arts, music, dance/movement, performing arts and literature as well as the integrations and overlaps of a wide range of creative ideas. Relationships with parents and caregivers are fostered through advocacy and education to enable them to play an active role in their children’s experiences and arts learning.

Children will have comprehensive opportunities, including studio experiences, interactions with artists, galleries and exhibits which encourage contemplation, reflection and response to art through conversation, storytelling, play, dramatics, movement, music, and art making.

ARTISTS SPACE – In this fully operational studio workshop see a wide variety of
‘real artists’ at work providing dynamic mentoring and inspirational opportunities for
children.

REVIVED OBJECTS CENTRE – Exploration of a new way to look at and value materials
that would usually be discarded.

TODDLE EXPLORATION – Crawlers, cruisers and toddlers play safely in this gated
area, featuring spinners, mobiles, floor aquariums, 3 D shapes, book baskets, mazes and
more.

INTERACTION STATIONS – Painting on transparent walls, building sculptures with
found materials, creating a fountain with real water, exploring a walk in black-light
painting are all great fun.
