The
Calgary Science Centre is presenting a series of art installations
and exhibits created by Alberta artists. Ten different displays
that communicate the fascinating link between art and science will
be set up throughout 2005. From photos of close up insects, to interactive
installations to mechanical sculpture, our visitors will have a
unique experience never before offered at the Calgary Science Centre.

Ed
Burtynsky
Large Scale Photographic Images of Alberta and British Columbia
|
Burtynsky’s photographic
essays include images of rail cuts, homesteads, tailings, mine
sites and gas plants. His photographs deal with the final stages
of industrial production and are located in places outside of
the viewer's everyday experience. Much of this work reflects
the artist's concern with the relationship between nature and
industry.
Organized by the Paul Kuhn Gallery and the Calgary Science
Centre.
