Excellent for Scouting, Guiding, and other Community groups, as well as Grades 1 to 9!

We are unable to host sleepovers this year due to changes in our building, but please check out our brand new evening program, which caters to Guides, Scouts, other Community Groups, and Grade 1-9!

Program runs from 5:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. on

Join us for a late night program at TELUS World of Science - Calgary!  This exciting evening includes: a large science demo (your choice), Dome Theatre show (your choice), TWO hands-on science activities (your choice), late night snack, plus exclusive after-hours access to our feature Einstein and Darwin Exhibitions with an activity planned by our staff!

Discovery After Dark Program Schedule

(Note: Timing is subject to change)

5:30 – Arrival and greeted by Program Leader (head into 1st floor “Darwin” exhibits)

6:00 – Meet with Leader in Darwin gallery (public will be leaving at 6pm).  Head up to Dome.

6:15 – Staff Intros, and Rules in Dome

6:45 – Dome show

7:30 – Hands on Activity 1

8:15 – Snack/Exhibits

9:15 – Hands on Activity 2

10:00 – Demo

10:45 – Program ends

Program Choices Include

DEMO: Liquid Nitrogen, Fire and Chemistry, “It’s All Relative”

DOME SHOW: Australia: Land Beyond Time, Bugs!, Constellation Tour (live)

HANDS ON ACTIVITIES: Critter Talk, Strawberry DNA, Chemistry Challenges, Telescopes, Slime and Polymers, Rollercoaster Physics, or Extra Exhibit time.

Monday –Friday 9am-5pm

Price: $25 per child participant.  1 free chaperone per 8 child participants (ratio 1:8).  Extra adults will be charged the regular $25 rate.

“Discovery After Dark” requires a minimum number of 20 participant and a maximum of 60 participants.

Community Groups

As an early booking bonus, the first group to book on any date will have their choice of available science demos and Dome Theatre shows.  Each group to book on any date will choose thehands-on activities that will best suit their groups’ needs.
