» Telescope User's Course

The Telescope User's Course is a 2-night adult-level course for owners of new telescopes. In the first night we will show you how to get the most out of your telescope - how to use it, and how not to use it, what accessories to use and buy, how to set up a computerized telescope, how to polar align an equatorial mount, and tips for finding things in the night sky. The second night we'll use our star projector in the Discovery Dome to learn our way around the sky.

Dates:

  • Tuesday, January 19, 2010 - Discovery Dome Theatre
  • Tuesday, January 26, 2010 - Discovery Dome Theatre/Observing Deck
Time:
These one-evening courses are presented from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm.

Cost:

  • $40 plus GST per person
  • $70 plus GST per couple or family
